October 26th. 1:05pm A post-season exit meeting for staff, coaches, players, parents and referees is scheduled for 7pm at Arroyo Vista Community Center on Tuesday 11th November. If you have a complaint, bring a solution! We hope that you will attend so that we can get a good cross-section of thoughts and ideas. If you absolutely cannot be there, please send your ideas to U16/19 POSTSEASON. October 26th. 1:05pm Playoff Tournament schedules/scores have been updated for all Divisions. This week's matches are 7pm at Dos Vientos. If, after a FINAL, both finalists have lost one match, the Championship Playoff will be Sunday at Conejo Creek, 10am. CLOCKS GO BACK NEXT SUNDAY MORNING! August 31st. 11:30pm LAWS OF THE GAME: AYSO will be adopting FIFA convention for injuries, as noted below. The only exception to the player being required to leave the field is for a goal-keeper. If the goal-keeper is the injured player, the player may receive on-field attention and, if deemed fit to continue playing, is not required to leave the field of play. August 30th. 11:50pm LAWS OF THE GAME: AYSO will be adopting FIFA convention for injuries. In the case of an injury or similar situation requiring on-field attention (e.g. a coach entering the field of play) the injured player will be required to leave the field of play. The player may either be substituted (and must stay out until the next substitution break) or re-enter the field of play ONLY when invited to do so by the Referee (not an Assistant Referee). RANCHO SANTA SUSANA: Parking at Rancho Santa Susana may be in the main paved parking lot for the Community Center or in the unpaved area behind the Community Center, accessible from Stearns Avenue. Parking is also available on the south side of Los Angeles Avenue at the Metrolink station. AYSO visitors may NOT park in the Softball/Baseball parking lots. Field 1 is nearest to Los Angeles Avenue. Field 2 is to the north of Field 1, and will alternate between two available fields, to reduce wear. DOS VIENTOS: Two fields will be used at Dos Vientos. Field 1 is nearer the tennis courts. CONEJO CREEK (SOUTH): A new, paved, parking area is available parallel to Highway 23 and extending down to the baseball field. Field 1 is about halfway. Field 5 is the furthest from Janss Road and is next to the baseball field. SHIRTS: Teams should use their alternate (usually white) shirts only when the team is "Visitor" and then only if there is a risk of clash of colors. SUBSTITUTION: We are returning to standard AYSO substitution rules this year - the same as for U10-U14 i.e. at half-way through each half and at half-time, or in case of injury. GAME CARDS: Coaches have been issued with Area 10E match line-up cards. PLEASE DO NOT USE ANY OTHER FORMAT. Extra cards may be obtained on request. Please be sure to complete all the top part of the cards, enter the players in shirt number order, and also enter the match information for Date, Kick-off Time and Field for each match. August 24th. 7:50pm Schedules are now posted, together with a list of teams and coaches. Apologies for the delay. Please pay extremely careful attention to which Coach is assigned to which Team ID - do NOT rely on any designation from your Region. The Coach/TeamID connection is critical as it has been used to minimize conflicts for coaches with multiple teams. A team which does not show at the correct field for the correct kick-off will lose the match by Forfeit. July 24th. 00:30am The Coach Information Packet and Player's Fair Play Pledge form are now available. June 24th. 11:30pm Welcome to the 2008 U16/19 Program. As before, matches will be scheduled starting September 2nd. at various locations within Area 10E. These will include Rancho Santa Susana Park (Simi Valley), Dos Vientos Park (Newbury Park), Conejo Creek South (Thousand Oaks), Oaks Christian School (Westlake Village), and Malibu Bluffs. Matches will be scheduled every day except Friday. Few matches will be on Saturday, so as not to take experienced referees from the Regional programs. Many matches will be on a Sunday. Kick-off times Monday through Thursday are typically 6:00pm and 7:45pm so be sure to allow adequate travel time. Saturday matches at Malibu Bluffs are usually 2pm and 3:45pm. Matches are played throughout the day on Sunday, but teams play no more than once per day. Rules and associated forms will be published in early August. A MANDATORY meeting for coaches will be on Tuesday August 26th. at Arroyo Vista Community Center in Moorpark, 7pm. Coaches should take notice on the Calendar page of the various and many courses being held to upgrade or refresh knowledge to be appropriate to this level of competition. |
